I read Joe Navarro's book, "What Every BODY is Saying: An Ex-FBI Agent’s Guide to Speed-Reading People", and really enjoyed this topic so I download "How to Analyze People". I honestly couldn't finish it. It's almost like a college student wrote it as a thesis, as opposed to an expert on the subject. It was just a completely verbose piece of work. You know the saying, "so many words saying nothing". That's how it was-- lots and lots of sentences to say something the other author would have said in one or two. Almost like the author didn't have enough information to fill a book so he added lots of filler words. I can't recommend this book.Product details

Ill be honest that the real reason I bought this book was truly to analyze myself. To know how I communicate with people around me. I wanted to know what I send out with my own expressions and body language. I must say that after reading this book my friendships and relationships have become a lot more relaxed. Ive always struggled with anxiety and this book really allows me to see into myself. Great book!

Looking out for those common pitfalls in important and it is covered in this book. Understanding micro-expressions, deception, and even the non-verbal body cues are things this book talks about.

Lets be honest the human mind and body is the most unique thing on earth, it has a power of its own and whether you like it or not it gives away tips about the type of person you are and that exactly what Thomson was point out in this book. Our body act's in certain ways while feeling in a certain way and unfortunately most of us cannot control that.
Overall you will learn about how the body works and how you can analyze people based on how they act, talk, walk...etc.
Knowing to analyse people is becoming a necessity when I became an entrepreneur and had to sell my product, convince people that it’s the true choice to make and do a lot of public speaking. First, because I wanted to learn what my body language tell to people and secondly to better understand their behaviour. This book is the perfect introduction for understanding both verbal & non verbal expression. Since I finished this book, I discover concrete exemple everyday and it’s actually funny and helpful in some situation. Go ahead without hesitation!
I'm such a fan of anything to do with human behavior and how peoples minds work, so this book really had me hooked. It focuses on the idea that the subconscious drives the physical body to do certain things, and from body language to microexpressions, it covers all main areas to understand when looking to analyze people. The focus on attraction is a good choice by the author, as it's an innate will off all people, and something I believe all people should be able to understand when looking for a partner. A really informative book.
I currently have a job which requires me to talk to a lot of people. As an introvert, I often find it difficult to get along with other people, especially to those who are over-confident about themselves or those who are intimidating because of their stature. I think that this book is a helpful tool for anyone who wants to know the basics of analyzing people; however, most of its content is commonly known or very easy to locate in the internet and other books. I really appreciate the engaging tone of the book. Moreover, I like the way the author describes visual and non-verbal communications simply yet understandable. I wish that James Thomson will write another book which is more comprehensive than this. I am also hoping to see more quotations from scientific facts to separate the assumptions to tested facts in this book. All in all, I really like the book and learn a lot from it, particularly in spotting deceits which is highly relevant in our lives.
